Bollywood's youth brigade will promote the UPA Government's Right to Education (RTE) scheme by inviting children across the country to join school. Leading stars Ranbeer Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and Imran Khan will feature in the HRD Ministry's Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan video campaign, wherein they will ask address parents to send their kids to school.

The video depicts children walking to school through different terrains across the country from Leh to Sikkim to Kutch to Mumbai and other cities. 'Tan tan tan, suno ghanti baji school ki, chalo school tumko pukaare…', has been sung by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan.

"Children from different geographical and cultural backgrounds are shown learning together in classrooms, labs, studying in libraries, enjoying mid-day meals, exercising and playing in the playgrounds at school," said a HRD Ministry official.

'Tan tan tan' means the sound of the school bell and it is symbolic of the call from schools inviting children to come and enjoy the space created to nurture young minds, he said.

The peppy track beautifully captures the essence of the RTE and highlights allied features of neighborhood schooling; uniforms, books, playgrounds, libraries, mid-day meals and other amenities provided by the school.

The video, likely to be released by HRD Minister MM Pallam Raju on Thursday, captures access to quality education, emphasis on overall development of all children including specially-abled children, highlighting the importance of educating the girl child and discouraging corporal punishment in any form. It has been produced by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and Rizla Films in association with Boot Polish Films.

In an attempt to widen the reach of the Right to Education (RTE), the HRD ministry has roped in Bollywood stars by getting a star studded RTE video made which  helps children understand the importance of going to school.

The four minute video, to be launched by HRD minister Pallam Raju on August 29, will show film stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif  and Imran Khan invite children to experience the joy of learning at school.

The video has been produced by the National Film Development Corporation(NFDC) and Rizala Films in association with Boot Polish Films. It has been made on behalf of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan division.

The video which will be disseminated through Prasar Bharti in 15 different languages captures access to quality education, emphasis on overall development of children including specially abled children as well as highlighting the importance of educating girls.

The vibrant video shows children across different terrains from Leh to Sikkim to Kutch to Mumbai and others, walking to school.

‘Tan tan tan, sunoghantibaji school ki, chalo school tumko pukaare……’ has been sung by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan , requesting parents to send their kids to school.
